OCHC’s Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal

It’s estimated that over 18 million people could be impacted by the conflict in Ukraine and four million people displaced. That’s why on the 26th and 27th March, the OCHC will be turning blue and yellow to show our support for those impacted in Ukraine and beyond. It is our small gesture to show support and raise funds for those impacted by these terrible events.

We’d like to raise funds for Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC) which brings together 15 leading aid charities and local partners in Ukraine and neighbouring countries. They are working to meet the immediate needs of people fleeing Ukraine, supplying them with food, water, medical assistance, protection and trauma care.

On Saturday 26th March, all adult teams will play in blue and yellow socks. Your captain will provide the socks to your team and in return, we ask players to donate cash to the appeal: £15 for over 18s, and £10 for under 18s. Captains will send the funds direct to our fundraising page. Please speak with your captain if you have any questions.

On Sunday 27th March, we’re asking all Juniors to wear blue and yellow clothing during their training session. If parents would like to donate to the appeal, however big or small, please visit our JustGiving page. We’ll also have a collection bucket at Thames Ditton.

Thank you for your support.
